The Hubbard Hall storefront at 25 East Main St. has served as a welcoming entrance to Hubbard Hall and its campus since Helen White’s founding of the Village Store in 1977. As host to a retail store and to the beginnings of the Cambridge Food Co-op, we’ve seen multitudes cross the threshold and connect as community members and with Hubbard Hall. In summer of 2016, the Village Store closed and the space was repurposed as Hubbard Hall’s Community Center and Arts Activity Space.
Set at the center of town, Hubbard Hall is uniquely positioned to offer a Welcome Center and Arts Activity Space for both Hubbard Hall and the Village of Cambridge. The space now includes information on all Hubbard Hall programs and performances as well as Village maps and other tourist info, an expanded visual arts studio space, box office, and lobby area complete with new furniture, including comfortable chairs and sofas.
As home to the Hubbard Hall Box Office, you can buy tickets for shows and enroll in classes all in one place! We also have information on other local artists and arts organizations. The moment you walk through the door, we invite you to join us in Making Art and Community Happen!
