2022 Summer Programs for
Children, Youth, and Teens!
Children’s Theatre
Directed by Sarah Burke
Session 1: June 27th – July 8th, 2022 (No class on 4th of July)
Session 2: July 11th – 22nd, 2022
Monday – Friday 9am-12pm
Children Ages 5-7 years old
Come join us as we embark on an adventure full of imagination, creativity, and laughter. Over the course of two weeks, children ages 5-7 will have the opportunity to develop and perform their own original play based on a variety of books they will read during the program, bringing their unique and original ideas to life onstage. Through theater games, arts and crafts, and other hands-on activities, the students will work together to hone their artistic abilities, culminating in a fun performance for family and friends.
Location: Outside on the Great Lawn and in the Beacon Feeds building
Tuition: $199 per student PER SESSION. Maximum of ten students PER SESSION.
Performances: Friday, July 8 and Friday, July 22 at 12:00 pm Outside on the Great Lawn.
Tickets: FREE and Limited to Participant Families.
Afternoon Arts
Directed by Sarah Burke
Children and Youth Ages 5-12
Monday-Friday, 12-4pm.
Four 1-week sessions available: June 27 through July 22, 2022
Each week our afternoon arts camp focuses on a different theme. Through a series of fun, in-door and out-door activities, games and storytelling, kids can spend the afternoon with us having fun, creating characters, and learning new artistic skills. Join us! (Children participating in a morning Theatre program should bring a packed lunch.)
Week 1: June 27th – July 1st
Week 2: July 5th – 8th (No class on the 4th of July)
Week 3: July 11th – 15th
Week 4: July 18th – 22nd
Location: Beacon Feed Arts Studio
Tuition: $80 per week per student; $60 per week if coupled with a morning program.
Youth Theatre – The Wizard of Oz
Directed by Katherine Danforth and Richard Cherry
June 27th through July 22nd, 2022 Monday-Friday 9am-12pm
Youth Ages 8-12 years old
Youth Theater returns with The Wizard of Oz! A fun morning filled with theatre games, activities, and music. Children will spend four weeks rehearsing this wonderful musical adaptation based on the beloved MGM film, to be performed with costumes, lights, and music.
Location: Hubbard Hall and Outside
Tuition: $399 per student.
Performances: Friday, July 22 at 7 pm & Saturday, July 23 at 2 pm
Teen Theatre – Bugsy Malone
Directed by Katherine Danforth and Richard Cherry
June 27th through July 15th, 2022 Monday-Friday 1-4pm
Teens Ages 13-18 years old
A fun afternoon filled with theatre games, activities, and music. Participants (ages 13 – 18) will spend three weeks rehearsing a full-scale musical production to be performed with costumes, lights, and music. Featuring music and lyrics by Paul Williams and a script by Alan Parker, Bugsy Malone follows the hilarious rivalry between 1920s gangsters Fat Sam and Dandy Dan, as they battle it out with whipped cream, pies, and speakeasy show tunes.
