Dear Community:

Now that we have successfully completed our amazing new public restrooms in Hubbard Hall, we are planning to do more major improvements over the next two years, including a new HVAC system, our first-ever professional sound system (including hearing assistance), and professional theater seating to improve comfort and safety in Hubbard Hall. This year we were lucky enough to be awarded an $86,000 Matching Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts to accomplish these three projects (HVAC, sound, and seating) over the next three years.

Now we need to raise the required matching funds to successfully gain the grant. Our first goal is to raise an additional $20,000 by October, which we must do in order to implement new HVAC and sound systems this fall. Our HVAC system is 30 years old and desperately needs to be replaced with a 21st century system capable of virus protection and energy efficiency. At the same time, we know that hearing our performers on stage can be challenging without a professional sound or hearing assistance system. With new HVAC and sound systems, we will be able to better serve you and generations to come.  If we succeed together, we will have these new systems in place by December. Later in 2023 we will pursue the match for audience seating.

Can you help us? Any gift – $50, $100, $1,000, $5,000 – will help us toward our ultimate goal of serving you better.  We will use any additional funds raised toward other ongoing facilities issues.
