MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival – September 29 at 3pm

Sunday September 29 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

One World – One Week – One Festival

Over 100,000 film lovers in over 500 cities across six continents will gather for one reason … to view and vote on the Finalists’ Films in the 27th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival. Click to watch the official promo video.

What is MANHATTAN SHORT? Established in New York City in 1998, the MANHATTAN SHORT receives over 1,600 short film entries from over 75 countries a year. Ten of these entries are selected as finalists in our annual Festival.

You Be the Judge! Audiences from around the world are given the opportunity to unite with other audiences not only to view these films, but to vote for the ONE Film they think is best. Votes are tallied by you (The Cinema) and e-mailed through to us at MANHATTAN SHORT HQ where the winner is announced in New York City on Monday, October 6th, at 10:00 AM (EST). With past Finalists from this Festival going on to be nominated and win Oscars in the short film category, MANHATTAN SHORT is, quite simply, a collection of some of the best short films currently screening in the world today. Learn more about MANAHATTAN SHORT here.

The MANHATTAN SHORT Final Ten are:
The Talent (UK), I’m Not a Robot (The Netherlands), Mother (Ukraine), Dovecote (Italy), Pathological (USA), Alarms (France), Favourites (Australia), The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent (Croatia), Room Taken (Ireland), Jane Austen’s Period Drama (USA).

All Final Ten short films become Oscar-qualified, meaning they will be automatically eligible for an Academy Award nomination by screening for a week at the Arena Cinelounge in Hollywood in the county of Los Angeles.
