Music from Salem Saturday, May 31st at 4pm

The Cello Seminar returns home to Salem this summer. In addition to a wonderful array of modern and post-modern repertoire for solo cello and cello with piano, the May 31st concert will feature exciting new works for multiple cellos.

Coached by Music from Salem musicians Judith Gordon, David Russell, Scott Kluksdahl, and Rhonda Rider, the cellists will spend one week focusing on their adaptivity and creativity.

Music from Salem brings together musicians of international reputation to prepare and perform chamber music in the peace and beauty of rural Washington County, New York, and environs. Chamber music is classical music written for a small group of performers, and includes a range of styles, from the 18th century to today. Music from Salem also leads educational workshops and conducts violin, viola, and cello seminars for emerging young artists.
