Hubbard Hall Internship Opportunities

At Hubbard Hall, we offer exciting opportunities for high school students to gain hands-on experience in the arts and nonprofit sectors through our Summer Internship Program. These internships provide a chance to work alongside the Executive & Artistic Directors, as well as the talented Hubbard Hall staff, to learn about various aspects of arts administration, production, and more. Interns will be an integral part of our operations and will contribute to the success of our diverse range of events and programs.

These internships are designed to offer students in Washington County a practical, immersive experience that will help them develop a wide range of skills while contributing to the mission of Hubbard Hall. Interns will engage with our theater, music, opera, and dance performances, as well as educational workshops and community programs. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in the arts to learn about all facets of a working arts center, from behind-the-scenes production to outreach and public engagement.


Purpose of Internship Positions:

Interns will work closely with Hubbard Hall staff on a variety of projects, including production assistance, administrative tasks, marketing, outreach, and event coordination. We seek students who are passionate about the arts and are eager to gain practical knowledge in an arts-based environment. Ideal candidates will have an interest in the arts, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn. The internships provide valuable experience for students considering careers in arts administration, production, education, or other related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event planning and preparation for performances
  • Help coordinate marketing and outreach efforts for shows and programs
  • Support administrative tasks, including managing schedules and communications
  • Participate in production-related tasks for theater, music, opera, and dance events

Who Can Apply?

These internships are open to high school students who are local to Washington County and who are passionate about gaining experience in the arts. Interns should be motivated, dependable, and ready to engage in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment. No previous experience is necessary, but a strong interest in theater, arts administration, or community engagement is a plus.
