OPERA

The Falling and the Rising – A New American Opera

Saturday, September 29th, 2018

By librettist Jerre Dye and composer Zach Redler.  Based on an idea by Staff Sergeant Ben Hilgert. Co-commissioned by the Seagle Music Colony and The US Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus.  Presented by the Seagle Music Colony.

The Falling and the Rising, a new American opera from the Seagle Music Colony. This exciting new opera, based on the true stories of dozens of active duty soldiers and veterans, honors the indomitable spirit of our military veterans and sheds light on the power of their often-overlooked stories. This new opera had its world premiere in Fort Worth, Texas in April and will travel the country throughout this year. Catch it at Hubbard Hall before it plays the rest of the country.  We honored our veterans and active duty soldiers with this tribute to their courage and compassion. Co-sponsored by Glens Falls National Bank & Trust Co.
