Thank you to those businesses that supported the Hubbard Hall 2024/25 Season Playbill!
Hubbard Hall brought back our Playbill in 2024 after taking a hiatus since the pandemic. The refreshed playbill included expanded sponsorship levels to support the exciting events we are scheduling and planning this year.
It was wonderful to see the hall full of patrons last year after having reduced attendance at classes and events due to Covid. The impact on the hall and community was challenging. But we are back and eager to bring an exciting schedule of events to our campus. Here are some of our events planned for summer and fall 2024.
- Shakespeare Twelfth Night August 14 – 19th. Join us for a magical summer bringing Shakespeare’s beloved comedy to life in the park!
- Maria Z Trio – August 31st at 7pm – Guitarist/composer, Maria Zemantauski, guitarist/mandolinist, Sten Isachsen, and percussionist, Brian Melick, have delighted audiences around the globe as soloists and in various ensembles for decades.
- What the Constitution Means to Me – September 6-8 and 13-15. Directed by Kirk Jackson & Erin Nicole Harrington. Starring Kim Stauffer, Oliver Wadsworth and Isabella “Izzy” Brown.
- Capital Trio – September 21st at 3pm
- Music from Salem will perform a fall concert October 20th at 4pm
- MANHATTEN SHORT Film Festival – September 29th at 3pm
- Whispering Bones Ghost Stories – October 26th at 7:30pm
We are also planning bringing back some community favorites like Coig, Hot Club Saratoga, Seagle Music Festival, the December holiday breakfast and much more.
Over 900 students of all ages enjoy classes all year long learning theater dance, drawing, fitness, and improv to name just a few and over 3,000 audience members attend events throughout the year.
We have stood by our commitment to actively support the artist community as well as grow Hubbard Hall’s connections in the arts. This year we will continue to support our partnership with Bushwick Starr hosting artist Misha Chowdhury in October and Modesto “Flako” Jimenez in December both participating in a week-long artist residency. We are actively investing in our historic campus to grow our offerings in 2024 and beyond, including adding artist housing in the Lovejoy building as part of a major capital project with a tentative target opening in September 2024 plus enhancing our sound system in the hall in the near future.
But we need your support to maintain and support these endeavors.
Like many arts non-profits today, Hubbard Hall currently operates at a deficit. This is where supporters like you quite literally make all the difference. We rely on consistent donations to keep the staffing, building maintenance, electricity, heating, phones, and supplies behind the scenes at Hubbard Hall covered. Covering these operating expenses makes the numbers we are so proud of above possible.
Supporting the arts provides our community with so many benefits and rewards. Local arts help drive our economy by giving our close neighbors and visitors from far away the opportunity to explore our community and visit businesses like yours. The arts make our lives joyous and support our wellbeing. Places like Hubbard Hall, where all ages, walks of life, and artistic tastes can gather to see theater, to hear music, to see our children triumph, are precious. Neighbors catching up during an intermission. The parking lot at our Beacon Feed Studio filling up with parents’ cars and children running to the studio doors excited to learn the next piece of choreography. These moments strengthen our community.

Our Playbill/Season Brochure will again be our traditionally sized program, 5.5” by 8.5” to help us distribute more of them at every event and performance we offer. It will again contain fun, informative articles about Hubbard Hall and the history of our community, guaranteed to reach a larger audience and be looked at again and again. The brochure features more articles about current offerings and other businesses found in and around our region, as well as a village map, making this an invaluable resource guide for residents and visitors alike. The Playbill is being designed by Sara Kelly Graphics. We can offer ad design for free – let us know if you’d like to take advantage of this. Even better, if you were in our Playbill before, we can re-use the same ad design for you if you prefer.
